What is the difference between a standard vacuum pouch and retort pouch?

It’s all about heat resistance. A standard vacuum pouch (usually Nylon/PE) will melt or delaminate at temperatures above 100°C. Our Retort Pouches are engineered with specialized RCPP (Retort Cast Polypropylene) and high-grade adhesives to withstand sterilization temperatures of 121°C to 135°C for 30–60 minutes without leakage or peeling.

Are your retort pouches microwavable?

It depends on the material structure you choose: Aluminum Foil Structure (PET/AL/RCPP): NO. Metal cannot be microwaved. Transparent High-Barrier Structure (PET/ALOx/NY/RCPP): YES. We use ALOx (Aluminum Oxide) coated films that offer high barrier properties similar to foil but are metal-free and microwave-safe.

Can you print matte finish or spot UV on retort pouches?

Yes, but it requires specialized Heat-Resistant Varnish. Standard matte oil may turn white or peel off after high-temp steam sterilization. We use premium imported matte ink designed specifically for retort processes to ensure your packaging looks premium even after cooking.

What is the MOQ for custom printed retort pouches?

Due to the complex manufacturing process (lamination and curing times), our standard MOQ for Rotogravure printing is 10,000 - 20,000 pieces, depending on the bag size. However, for market testing, please contact our sales team to discuss digital printing options for smaller runs.

Are your materials safe for direct food contact?

Absolutely. All our raw materials (films, inks, and adhesives) are FDA and EU compliant. We are a BRC and ISO certified manufacturer. We also ensure our lamination is Solvent-Free, eliminating any risk of chemical odor transfer to your food.
